General Practitioner Pain Management Seminar
This full day education seminar will provide an update on a variety of aspects of pain management. This education session will cover diagnosis, appropriate investigation, acute and persistent pain, medication and dependency.
In addition to this pain seminar a representative from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) will present on the recent changes to the Planning Learning and Need (PLAN) QI Activity.
Learning Outcomes:

Develop a comprehensive management plan for patients with persistent pain

Assess and manage the risk of opioid or other medication misuse in pain management

Identify red flags when diagnosing pain

Implement strategies for communication with patients regarding their pain.
