General Practitioner Pain Management Seminar

This full day education seminar will provide an update on a variety of aspects of pain management. This education session will cover diagnosis, appropriate investigation, acute and persistent pain, medication and dependency.

In addition to this pain seminar a representative from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) will present on the recent changes to the Planning Learning and Need (PLAN) QI Activity.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop a comprehensive management plan for patients with persistent pain

  • Assess and manage the risk of opioid or other medication misuse in pain management

  • Identify red flags when diagnosing pain

  • Implement strategies for communication with patients regarding their pain.
